Sweet Tape of Sweet Nun is available at floratapes.bandcamp.com
(It's a split-side cassette; the other side is Rudelbums, from Les Ghost's of Ghazal)
Those were the beginnings of Wiwichu.
During a period in which the legendary drummer Téhème was discovering the concept of cymbal / meditation, he invited The Guitarist Formerly Known As François to play bass with him, and famed House DJ Mister Huge to accompany them at the guitar.
Those seminal recordings had never been shared... until now, on the first day of the Wooden Sheep Year, also known as "Jams On Tape Release Year".
Since the birth of those mythical improvisations that travelled between Korean Boogie-Woogie and Senegalese Post-Rock, The Guitarist Formerly Known As François has left the music world to concentrate on Buddhist Nihilism. The tape’s title refers to the shaven-heaven mamacita who telepathically seduced him, and converted him to her religion.
Nobody really knows much about Mister Huge’s mysterious disappearance. The opening track of Female Iron Rabbit, Wiwichu’s official debut album, is a reflection of what little is know of his life : repetitive, wordless, noisy, and yet surprisingly sexy.
Téhème went on to recruit new members and introduce Humanity to new musical directions, and now, with the release of this limited-release tape, 10 of Wiwichu's 109 facebook fans will discover the origins of (one of the) world’s biggest band(s).
